About
IMPACT-SE
 |
|
IMPACT-SE is the only interdisciplinary
research organization that monitors and analyses schoolbooks
and curricula across the world with an eye to determining
their compliance with international standards on peace and
tolerance, as derived directly from UNESCO declarations and
resolutions.
A pioneer in the field of textbook analysis,
IMPACT-SE endeavors to present a clear picture of how different
countries instruct and educate their youth with regard to
different religions, societies, cultures, democratic values
and the "other." It is dedicated to peacemaking
between peoples and nations by encouraging acceptance of the
“other” and rejection of violent conflict resolution.
The Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance
in School Education -- formerly referred to as the Center
for Monitoring the Impact of Peace (CMIP) -- is a registered
non-profit, non-partisan research institute. It is run by
a group of volunteers in the Middle East and Europe, and it
is governed by a General Assembly, a Chief Executive Officer
(CEO) and an International Advisory Board.
